Emory University | Assistant Professor

ATLANTA, GA 

I am currently an assistant professor in the Department of  Mathematics at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in numerical analysis.

2020 - PRESENT

University of Central Florida | Assistant Professor

ORLANDO, FL 

I spent five years as an assistant professor in the Department of  Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.  I taught undergraduate courses in fluid mechanics and numerical methods, and graduate courses in numerical methods and finite element methods.  I supported a host of junior scholars, including Cigdem Ozkan, PhD, my current PhD student, Jeane Camelo, and my undergraduate research student, Kelsey Perez.

2015 - 2020

Princeton University | Postdoctoral Researcher

PRINCETON, NJ 

I completed my postdoctoral research appointment in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey.  My postdoctoral research advisor was Professor Ning Lin.

I earned the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics at The University of Texas at Austin in December 2013.  My doctoral thesis was titled "Data Assimilation for Parameter Estimation in Coastal Ocean Hydrodynamics Modeling", and my thesis advisor was Professor Clint Dawson.  My research was partially funded by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program.
